Two hours a week free. What shall I do with myself?

Hooray, my youngest is ready to start nursery! I'm finally going to have some FREE TIME for myself. I'm going to keep one morning session free to do what I want, in peace and quiet. It's a 3 hour session, but including driving time, I'll probably have closer to 2 hours to actually do stuff.

What shall I do? It's been almost 4 years since I had proper time to myself. I can't remember what I used to do! I think I'm going to start by browsing a book shop Smile

I used to go to the gym, get my nails done or go to a coffee shop and chill.

Ooh lovely, sleeping, reading, lying in hammock, swimming/yoga/exercise class. Clothes and beauty shopping. Also decluttering/tidying/cleaning/gardening/batch cooking/baking without hindrance.

Swim.
Meet a friend for coffee/ lunch but not every time.

Swim. Or coffee and cake and kindle in a cafe/starbucks. Enjoy!

Will be in a similar situation soon. I have a hobby I can pursue in that time.
Other ideas are similar to above:
swim
meet with a friend
Coffee and/or bookshop and just chill out.

Watching with interest as I haven't had this sort of time for the past few years either.

Then when youngest starts school:
voluntary work
walking group
community gardening
more time to pursue hobby
Generally aim to extend my social circle from doing the above.

I might eventually look for a p/t job but difficult for me for numerous reasons.

I'd gym or swim or book a spin or other exercise class. Calm shower afterwards.

Meet a friend for coffee
Go for a massage
Go for a long walk (with or without friend)
Nap
Read a book
Have a bath

I wouldn't do much but I'd make sure I made the most of it

Ooh I get 5 glorious hours once a week all to myself for exactly the same reasons. I usually:

*Do my long run (boring but necessary)
*Lob in a few loads of washing/half heartedly clean the bathrooms/possibly push the hoover around
*Read 2 chapters of my book with a hot coffee and posh biscuits
*once a month get my nails/eyebrows/waxing done
*long shower without a teeny face pushed up against the glass shouting "mummy, mumma, mommy, mom, mama...."

Interesting to read what others do/would do and get inspo.

Enjoy OP x

It isn't long enough for me to actually go anywhere so I would pitch up in a local cafe with my kindle and treat myself to a coffee and a cake.

Similar situation. Wondering about the gym for swim/jacuzzi (as more than one nursery session in the week) but not sure I'd actually use it. Also, would like to do some volunteering as I have a slightly longer day too but not sure whether to commit as free time is so limited (perhaps more sensible when dc starts school).
