Things to do with teenagers in the Cotswolds

We have a mid week break next week near Morton-in-Marsh. Does anyone have any good suggestions of places to visit with teenagers to keep them amused? Also any nice pub recommendations? Many thanks

Cotswold Wildlife park..not too far away and it is lovely whatever age they are!
Possibly Birdland at Bourton on the Water
If you are feeling flush.. eat out at the Hare at Milton. Amazing food, but NOT cheap!
Head to Oxford.. Pitts Rivers and Natural History Museum is fab, even for teenagers.
Visit Christ Church College and goto the Great Hall (Hogwarts)
Let them loose in Westgate shopping centre for a couple of hours..there is a decent food hall too.
Actually Oxford Castle tour is worth a go too.. very interesting and spooky...was still an active prison til 1994!
And the ice rink in central Oxford is ok if they like that sort of thing! (next to Westgate)

Far peak climbing is about 20 minutes away.

Clarksons Farm if they’ve watched the Netflix series - it’s at Chipping Norton.

Cheltenham is lovely and the Zizzi there is spectacular if they like pizza - it’s in a church!

Bourton on the water was nice but more suited to little kids who paddle in the river or older folk enjoying the scenery. However the motor museum might be of interest.

The source of of the Thames is in the Cotswolds at Thames Head and makes for an interesting themed walk. Just decide how long a walk you want and start at an appropriate point downstream. If you Google it you'll find walks starting in places like Kemble (short walk) or Cricklade (long walk) and you just follow the Thames Path signs.

We live in London and have walked various sections of the Thames Path with our boys. So we all enjoyed walking upstream and seeing the stream getting gradually smaller and smaller. There's a stone marker at the end, in a farmers field, with a plaque. There's also a pub near the source called the Thames Head Inn, but I don't know what it's like.

I've just come back from the same place with my 14 year old son (and my parents which changes the dynamic a bit). There wasn't a plethora of things to do in the immediate locality.

We enjoyed the Cotswolds Falconry Centre which had an amazing variety of owls and eagles (although I have mixed feelings about birds in cages). We also enjoyed pottering and eating our way around various villages (Bourton on the Water, the Slaughters and Chipping Camden). We hired a boat in Oxford on the way there. It's a beautiful area. We had a nice meal at the Black Bear in Moreton itself.

Also, if your teens are happy with walks generally (ours are - trained from an early age with the promise of a coke and a bag of crisps along the way ) then google Pub Walks in the Cotswolds for a book and various websites on the same theme.

You can walk to Bourton on the Water easily.

If you go north rather than south, Stratford-upon-Avon is only about 20-30mins from Moreton. There is the new outdoor theatre and the river-you can hire a rowing boat. The big wheel on the bancroft gardens (next to river) The butterfly museum and the MAD museum. Various types of restaurants.
