AZ first vaccine and Pfizer for second!

Claudia2021 · 29/07/2021 22:00

I had a reaction to my first AZ vaccine and subsequently had COVID.

My local health board do not want me to have AZ for my second vaccine due to the reaction I had and other health issues I have.

Has anyone has had different vaccines? I'm based in the UK. Panicking a bit!

Thanks

The most important question is

Are they allowing it ?

The most vulnerable are likely to have the 3rd Vaccine in September and its likely to be Pfizer even if they have had 2 AZ’s

Why would you want to have a second jab after having such a reaction to the first that you are being told not to have the second?
You've had covid and survived so you will have immunity from that.

I had AZ first and Pfizer for my second due to some health issues. No problems at all and I’ve read that this scenario gives better protection.

Yes I had AZ first then asked for Pfizer for second. No adverse reaction.

Yep, me too. Had az first then advised to have Pfizer for second. All absolutely fine. Had mild side effects from AZ (tiredness mostly and a bit of a headache) but none at all from the second jab
