My son has ADHD. It maybe that your son has it or it maybe something else going on. Have school mentioned any concerns? When my son got his diagnosis both school and myself had to fill in questionnaires about his behaviour at school and at home. It’s a point system and looked overall at his behaviour. My son has a very short attention span and has little impulse control at times, shouting out and interrupting. Physical exercise helps to keep him a bit calmer and burn energy off. There is a lot of advice online which may help too. Good luck, I know how stressful it can be.

If he's fine at school but having meltdowns at home that sounds more like masking of asd than adhd.
I would suggest having a read up on autism, it doesn't mean that he doesn't have ADHD as you can have both at the same time (like my ds)
