Has anybody’s babies experienced horrible stomach cramps after having the vaccine my 8 week old is in so much pain after having it. Pulling her legs up and you can hear her stomach churning. She’s in pain and won’t settle unless on me which she has never done. I’m tempted to refuse the second dose. It’s heartbreaking 😔

Mine was a little poorly after the first but fine after the second, generally the first dose is the worst

My DD broke out in a rash all over after the rotavirus vaccine. Took her to health visitor, they told me to go to GP, GP had never seen it before and got the nurse. Nurse reported it and we got told not to have the 2nd jab. It's apparently a live virus? She's 7 now and it's the only vaccine she hasn't had (2nd jab).

She didn’t have it as a jan it was a liquid they gave her orally she’s been terrible after it. You can see she’s in pain with her stomach. My other little girl didn’t have it 7 years ago so I’m going to refuse the second dose. X

It's a live vaccine so it can make them a bit poorly for a day or two BUT it's a lot better than them actually catching the illness and they need both doses to be fully protected.

Rotavirus can kill. It leads to vomiting and diarrhoea and babies can and do die of the resulting dehydration.

Please don't refuse the second dose without proper advice from your GP.

It didn't cause mine any issues (the 13 month ones, however, were awful), BUT a day or two of discomfort is MUCH easier than actually having rotavirus, which is horrific.

I’m I suppose you’re right about suffering mildly rather than getting it, it’s just heartbreaking x

It's hard to see them suffer, but imagine the heartbreak of seeing your child seriously ill
