Why haven’t they just cancelled my order?

About a month ago I ordered a item of bedding from a American website.

I Paid and didn’t think much of it. I’m not an expert in this particular quality of bedding so I don’t know what the standard price is.

Anyway, I had a email a couple of days later saying the items Iv ordered were advertised at a glitch price and are ALOT high then what I paid.

They had the same items in different colours but with different momme counts making the pricing different (I didn’t realise what momme was).

They asked me to pay the rest and I said no because as far as I’m concerned they have been paid and I never would of ordered it at the full retail price. They took the money straight away and I paid £10 for shipping.

They keep trying to ‘negotiate’ with me though and I’m not sure why? I presumed they would just cancel my order but they haven’t.

They are now offering me 2 of the 10 items I ordered for the price I paid but why haven’t they just cancelled it instead?

And leave a bad review

Just tell them to either cancel the order or send you the items then, I’m not sure what other answer you are expecting?

US customer service only has a good reputation outside of the US, I think the smiley stereotype? It’s absolutely abysmal in reality, far worse than the U.K. Depending on where they are based, they may legally have to honour the price unless they can unequivocally demonstrate an error and the steps they took to equally advertise the error.

Stand your ground, insist on the items at the price paid, mention the delay this is causing in dispatch, and see what happens.

Don't tell them to cancel the order if that's not what you want, that's basically giving them permission. Just be firm that you want the items and see what happens. They may end up cancelling it anyway or they may realise they need to honour it. It's not your fault their website had a 'glitch'.

They want you to pay the higher price. That's why they haven't cancelled.

It’s a legit company. I was Googling the bedding and found the company listed along side John Lewis etc as places to buy.

That's just paid advertising. Google list according to who pays them, not who is legitimate or not.
