I used it once. I put vanish in it. Not sure it did anything the normal liquid wouldn't though.

I use the prewash for muddy clothes or really smelly gym kit. Use less detergent than in your main wash

EverythingDelegated · 29/07/2021 07:14

No, I would if I had filthy or heavily stained things to wash. Don't use conditioner either.

purpledagger · 29/07/2021 07:18

I don't know what programmes have a prewar, so I just chuck all detergents etc in the main draw compartment.

dementedpixie · 29/07/2021 07:21

My machine has an options button and you press that to add in a pre wash to your existing programme

lovelylemonylolly · 29/07/2021 07:21

Only use it on muddy sports kit or awful stuff like vomit on bed clothes - gives it a good wash and rinse before the normal wash

cariadlet · 29/07/2021 07:22

I have no idea what the different drawers in my washing machine are for so I just chuck a cup of detergent in one of them and everything's clean when the machine has finished. Seems to work.

MrsEko · 29/07/2021 07:23

Yes, for my whites. Mostly for the school shirts. I use vanish.

Mumdiva99 · 29/07/2021 07:24

Mine has 3 compartments in the drawer....but no prewash option on the machine...... I think they made all the drawers the same regardless of the machine model.

AbsolutelyPatsy · 29/07/2021 07:29

yes, mine doesnt have a button for pre washing, unlike my dishwasher

Yes. For whites and very dirty or stinky stuff.
