I breathe slowly….

Whenever i’ve done breathing exercises / meditation etc I’ve always found it hard to keep up with the breathing speed - it makes me dizzy!

I was just reading a random article and it seems that the average adult breathes 12-20 times a minute. I just checked and I average about 7-8…..

According to the Internet I have heart failure, brain stem damage or an opioid overdose. I’m pretty sure I suffer from none of these….but now I’m worried!

My resting heart rate is fairly slow too at just under 60. I’m not healthy. But not unhealthy.

Anyone else breath slowly?!

Yes and I’m still alive too. Be grand!

I think it’s fairly unusual to breath that slowly, but seeing as you’re still alive, if you’ve always done it, you’re probably ok. 🤷‍♀️

I do this too. I’ve noticed it because if I try to breath the same as my DH I can’t keep up - it turns out he’s normal and I’m odd. I worry I’ll live forever like a tortoise or some other slow creature

Yes @StarShapedWindow! I used to worry my ex was breathing too fast. I made him go to the doctor and everything. Turns out I’m the weird one

Not sure if it correlates but I can also belt out a tune and people have often said ‘that’s a good pair of lungs’!
