I havent got a clue what im doing, this is the first time ive had to use the system. Its not for me, its for DS who's disabled, im his appointee.

He got his first payment this time last month which was on the 30th of July. Going by that kt should have gone in today but it hasnt. Do I need to contact anyone? Or does it go in on a set day?

Thanks in advance!!

Yes it should be the same day but earlier if payment falls on a weekend. Can you log into his journal?

If it went in on June 30th It’ll go in on July 30th.

Chitty is right, if he was paid on the 30th June, it's not due until the 30th July. It's the date, not the day - although it'll be moved if that date falls on the weekend.

I have found the helpline to be incredibly helpful if you need to sort something much better than the journal (I know it's probably the same people). I was gobsmacked at how good and no nonsense they were.

Right so it goes on the 30th? Thank God for that, seriously struggling this month after gallantly paying his college activities in advance then he decided to break his bedroom window so most his pip has gone. And of course I have to keep him busy over the summer.

I can breathe a little now, thanks so much ladies.

It’s monthly not 4 weekly

Still in fairness his work coach is very on the ball and lovely. I was pleasantly surprised.

The work capability assessment people however haven't been great. Luckily ds lives at home and my partner works so we can support him, I really feel for those who dont have that net

No problem ☺️.

@MobyDicksTinyCanoe yes a bit different from the experience of my youth - especially the early 90s - there was such an us and them attitude shot all the way thru the system. We were kind of let off easy with the capability assessor. They had to do it by phone and my dp at the time was unable to understand language or find many words. So they paid him based on the OT report.

We haven't got as far as a work coach yet. I'm dreading it.

If you can log into his Universal Credit account, there is a link to payments and you will be able to see the payment date and amount.
