I am starting to feel like Kathy Bates in Misery about the rain.

It is my day off and I am stuck indoors with two bored 6 year olds having a playdate. It is absolutely pounding down outside - the whole house is vibrating, and the road outside is flooding. We had flash floods on Sunday and today's "light showers" are falling on top of the saturated ground. I am worried about the roof, the gutters are overloaded, and my doormat will be floating off any time now.

The weather never used to affect my mood but it increasingly does now. Is there an age at which this happens? Or do I just need a holiday and some pleasant moderate weather?

I don’t remember any flooding in that movie Confused

Do you mean that you’d tie your six year old to the bed and make him write profitable literature?

Sadly his literacy skills are just not at that level Sad
