Spa Stay/Day Visit

Morning all,
I’m really stuck and wondered if anyone could help by giving me a recommendation.
I am trying to arrange a special weekend for two friends, one of which is getting married soon (so it is partly a mini hen) and the other is due to have a baby soon.
We were thinking a spa day with or without an overnight stay or a special hotel with lovely grounds that we can relax at. I can’t find anything that fits the bill. Understandably my friend is not wanting to travel far from her baby so it needs to be within 45 minutes drive of South London (Crystal Palace). I have been looking at Surrey and Kent but not found anything yet. Budget wise we would be looking at about £200-£300 per person.
Any recommendations would be really appreciated.
Thank you,
Anna Smile

Nirvana spa in Wokingham is my go to for a spa day. We paid around £160pp last time for the days access, lunch, drinks and a treatment. I think there are more expensive packages.

Penny hill park in Surrey also has a nice spa/outdoor pool area and the hotel is lovely. Not sure on prices though but I believe it's around the £2-300 mark.

Thank you @Thenthatsthatthen, I’ve not h are of Nirvana Spa but it looks great.
Pennyhill Park would have been fantastic but it’s all booked up.

Alexander House might fit the bill

Honestly I think you'll struggle to book something soon - we haven't been able to find anywhere near us. Good luck - I hope you're more successful than us!

Another option would be lovely hotel room, but with a therapist who can do in-room treatments for you?

Annasouthlondon · 28/07/2021 14:08

@eurochick Alexander House looks great! Thank you! They don’t have availability for an overnight stay but they have a spa day.

I know @Pootles34 I should have started looking months ago, I didn’t realise how booked up they would be. A lovely hotel room would work too Smile

Has anyone been to any of these hotels that would recommend for spending a day at?
Ashdown Park Sussex
The Runnymede on Thames Hotel
Alexander House East Grinstead (already suggested once)
Thank you Smile

Alexander House is nice (I was a member there for three years), the spa is a little dark but still good despite that. It’s better than Ashdown. I’d recommend Ockenden Manor or South Lodge.

FrankiesKnuckle · 29/07/2021 15:43

Alexander house is nice, would probably be over your drive time but still only max 90 mins away.

Annasouthlondon · 29/07/2021 18:04

Great thanks so much Smile
Ockenden Manor looks lovely and has a couple of very local vineyards.

I’d definitely recommend having a glass of Ridgeview there.

Annasouthlondon · 29/07/2021 18:15

@Jerseygirl12 that’s the main one I’m wanting to visit, it looks perfect Smile

Check out Bolnore, it’s worth going even if just for a meal as the view is beautiful.
