Sage bean to cup coffee machines

I've decided to get one of the sage machines however I like a decaffeinated coffee in the evening and a caffeinated in the morning. Can you put the amount of beans for one shot in the machine, I've been looking at too many reviews and I'm still not sure!

I don't think so. Or maybe you could but it would be quite a faff.
We have a sage bean to cup. OH drinks normal coffee, I only ever drink decaff. Normal beans go in the hopper and I use ground (I buy the beans ground).

Oh thank you, I didn't think of doing that!

No, you can’t. The hopper has beans in the mechanism so unless you measured the beans incredibly precisely to just grind up one cup worth then did the same for the decaf, it wouldn’t be possible.

As nosesarered said, you could use decaf ground and just scoop it from the bag. Bit pointless, I’d say.

Thanks @Cherrysoup

We looked at the Sage but as I drink decaf and DH doesn’t we ended up going for the Melitta Barista Smart which has two separate bean hoppers and you can pick which one you use on the machine or via the app which lets you customise your coffees. It’s worth taking a look, we are really happy with it.

Oh thank you @WeeMadArthur that sounds perfect, I'll have a look.
