Taken paracetomal an hour early - be OK ?

I’ve got horrendous period pain - took paracetomal at 10am yesterday (I think it was actually considerably earlier than that, 10 was the time I wrote down on my mobile but I think it was probably around this time and 10 was just the time I remembered to write down I’d had a dose) , 2pm, half 7, half 11 and then took another two just now . Have just realised that pushes me over the limit for 24 hours by about an hour .

Will that be OK? I have OCD and a good friend died of deliberate paracetomal poisoning, I’m liable to sit and worry all day about delayed liver failure though I think if I ring GP they’ll say don’t worry, they wouldn’t consider it needing treatment . Will it be OK?

Yes, course it will be ok. Don't do it again. I knew someone who always used to always take 3 paracetamol instead of 2 and they are still alive and strong. Obviously not advised but please don't worry, I've done it before.

You'll be fine as a one off. Don't worry. I used to take the odd double dose when period pain was really bad (not recommending anyone does that, just saying I was ok).

Are you aware that you can take ibuprofen at the same time as paracetamol? So you could alternate between the two, taking a dose of ibuprofen midway between paracetamol doses (though you can i think take fewer ibuprofen tablets per 24 hours than paracetamol so wouldn't take it between all the paracetamol doses)

Definitely alternate ibuprofen (rumored to be more effective for period pain than paracetamol) with the paracetamol so you can dose every 2-3 hours.

Ibuprofen is better I think too, but have it with food as it can be hard on stomach lining. Have you tried a hot water bottle too?

Try Feminax Ultra (Naproxen) for period pain. You can take paracetamol with it for any breakout pain.
