DD's clothes are black after playing on a 3G all weather pitch. How do I clean them?

Dd spent her first day at a soccer summer camp. It's artificial grass covered in small black balls.

Her clothes are black and it's not budging after being soaked for hours in Vanish and cold water.

She was covered in black too but luckily that washed off in the shower.

He new trainers were also black. I've managed to scrub them but they now look about 6 months old.

She's going for the rest of the week so I need to figure out how to clean these black marks out. Or I'll be binning a lot of clothes.

What will remove these black marks???

Help!! Please

Why would you bin them? Just wash them. The black marks don’t matter.

I'm assuming its because of the heat that there are black marks on her clothes. DS plays on 3g multiple times a week and comes home covered in black balls but never had black marks. If your normal stain removing doesn't work I would just send her in dark coloured old clothes for the rest of the week.

Or send her back in the same clothes she had today so you are only ruining 1 set.

The black marks do matter if you don't want your kid looking like a tramp.
Send her in black clothes. It's the only way

DD plays on a 3G pitch regularly but she's never had stains from it Confused I'd be asking the coach what's up with the pitch!

You could try soaking the kit in a bucket with lots of bio powder and a scoop of vanish (it works on mud and grass...)

oh the black balls the bain of my life

MrsFin · 26/07/2021 20:35

Just wear the same clothes every day for heavens sake. It's just black marks.

No washing tips. But obviously wear the same clothes each day/send her in old clothes. Don't ruin loads of good clothes.

I'll send her in dark leggings tomorrow but presumably they will still be covered in black marks?? Just more disguised.

They clothes are still soaking in some vanish. So hopefully will look better tomorrow. They are bright pink cotton shorts so will be unwearable if they don't clean. They are basically totally black on the backside. Even her socks are black.

Apparently they were sitting on the pitch quite a lot. She's only 5 so I think they had them sitting down in between activities. The black balls are everywhere even inside her lunchbox.

It's been very hot here. 34° most of last week. The black balls might have traced to the heat??
