Do you charge your boyfriend/partner for rent etc?

If you don’t live together, but your boyfriend spends a lot of time at your house (we’re talking 5 out of 7 days), would you ask for money towards rent? He pays for food and going out on dates etc, as well as buying me gifts. But I’m wondering whether I should actually be asking for money towards rent and bills? And if so, how much? My rent is 500 and I spend about 300 on bills.

Does he have his own place as well?

I think you shouldn't be worse off because he's staying with you and he shouldn't be better off because he's living with you.

No, I wouldn’t ask for rent for him staying over as the costs would be the same with or without him. I’d expect him to pay for half the food. Have your bills gone up since he started staying over?
