Tragus piercing and AirPods?

I really want a tragus piercing but I use my AirPods a lot, including at night. Now I know I wouldn't be able to use them at all in that ear for the first while but does the piercing interfere with AirPods once it's healed?

Much as I want the piercing the AirPods are more important!

I've got a tragus piercing and have never had any issue with any earbuds, including airpods. Mine is 20 years old so well-healed and I've got a labret stud in it so the bit on the back inside my ear is flat rather than a ball, if that makes sense. I just sort of pull it forward as I'm inserting the earbud so the back bit is flush with my ear on the inside and doesn't get in the way, and then it's no trouble at all while wearing them.

I quite often sleep with earbuds in too (I know I shouldn't!) and can even sleep on the pierced side no problem.

It would be a good 3-4 months without the earpods but not forever.

My DD has a tragus piercing and permanently uses her AirPods...

I have a tragus piercing and AirPods were no bother. I then had daith piercing in the same ear and can't use AirPods in that ear..

Ooh thanks, that sounds hopeful. 3-4 months would be hard but doable to get the piercing done.

I've had mine done for years and it wouldn't have occurred to me not to use earbuds! Like pp said, I currently have jewellery in that has a flat back so it lies flush to the ear. I think I had a small hoop in it for years tho and it was absolutely fine!

Once healed should be fine. Mine are both about 15 years old with BCRs, well used to any kind of ear phone and I sleep with wax earplugs in every night. Daith piercings are more problematic. Only piercing I've retired due to irritation.

I have a hoop in mine from decades ago and my cheap ear buds that are the same shape as airpods are fine.

It wouldn't have occurred to me either but a colleague mentioned it as she has hers done.
