Help - toilet troubles (fissure? possible TMI)

Hello, name changed because I'm embarrassed and worried.

When I had DD 3 years ago I had persistent fissures for about a year that finally went away (despite feeling like they would never stop). I posted on here and got loads of lovely advice from you all which really helped me keep sane.

The past few months something seems to have happened again. There have been times I've wiped and had blood on the tissue (assumed it was a fissure again) but on a few occasions I've had red streaks through my stool (sorry TMIBlush) and for the past few days when I go to the toilet there is a weird blood smell, blood on the toilet paper and lots of burning pain afterwards.

Has anyone experienced this and it's related to fissures returning? I'm too scared to google.

Probably fissures but I’d get it checked out.

Yes do consult your GP, you could have piles, polyps or diverticula if not a fissure, all of which are treatable.
