Looking for hope…

I had been ttc for 5 years with no success. We both had tests but nothing came up.
We decided it was time to stop as it was heartbreaking every month with no success (we chose not to go with IVF).
Then out of the blue I fell pregnant at the age of 43. Sadly 1 week before our first scheduled scan at 11 weeks I lost the pregnancy. It seemed that the pregnancy didn’t progress passed 5 weeks.
I am so confused - does this mean that it is very unlikely that I will conceive again? Should I just go back to the idea of life without children? Should I just see what happens?
I am new to this and I am hoping that someone with a similar story might offer a little hope 😊
