Does anybody know if it’s a legal requirement to give your name and contact details for NHS Track & Trace if your staying in self catering accommodation where you have self check in?

I assume they have your details from when you made your booking but why would you refuse if asked?

Is it part of the booking conditions? In which case they might be able to ask you to leave if you refuse. But why would you refuse?

My friend has a booking. I never said that anybody would refuse.

They simply want to know if it is a legal requirement when they will be in self catering accommodation with self check in and will not see anybody in the accommodation other than their own direct family.
They thought it was only required if you are in a place such as a restaurant where you would be in close proximity to strangers for an increased period of time.

Check the government website I suggest.

I can understand some people not wanting to give details if they fear having marketing messages, or if they have some disagreement with the person they hire from.
