Have bitten the bullet and moved our holiday abroad to next year today. I just cant cope with the stress of testing, fear of quarantine and the fact that DS will not be able to tolerate a test.

So I am thinking of taking the DC's away for a couple of nights. We have done Liverpool and Newcastle before, and have been to London several times.

Needs to have enough to keep DS entertained that is outside, or close to outdoorsy stuff.

Thank you :)

So many choices! Leicester is so central.
York?
Manchester?

And Victorian prison.

Well in Yorkshire there is the Sculpture Park and Wildlife Park, plus numerous city parks and petting zoo type attractions, National Mining Museum, Royal Armouries in Leeds, National Railway Museum in York, street food vans and some life size dinosaur sculptures in the Trinity Centre in Leeds, so anywhere round the Leeds/Wakefield area would be central for a lot of that. I'm sure there's a Premier Inn type place, or air bnb available if you look.

I second Lincoln.

There's actually 13 dinosaurs across Leeds city centre, I've only seen a couple in the Trinity Centre
