I fed DD for the last time last Friday, so about 9 days ago? We cut down slowly after she turned 1 and she was just feeding mainly from my left boob before bed for a few weeks before we stopped. She would only feed for 3-5 mins towards the end. However since stopping I've had major discomfort in that left boob. It feels lumpy and full of milk still, and extremely tender to touch. I haven't been able to wear a bra for a few days.
Does this sound normal? How long will it go on for?? I don't remember it being this bad last time, though I do remember being shocked and at still occasionally leaking in the shower weeks and weeks after I stopped. Not sure at what point it's worth a GP call, and what they'd even be able to do unless I get any symptoms of an infection? I had recurrent mastitis with DD1 so I'm hyper vigilant and have managed to avoid this time round so really don't want to get it at this last hurdle.
