If you have a tall slim child where do you buy their jeans?

I have two children who are slim and tall and any jeans I buy (m&s, John Lewis, gap, h&m etc) are always too short or way too wide at waist. Is there anywhere that you can buy children’s jeans like we buy adults jeans, with a waist and leg length measurement? I though Levi’s might, then saw Levi’s concession in a department store and it was all “age 10” “age 12” etc.

Places that do slim or skinny fit or extra length Next, H&M, George at Asda, primark … and often get them in the next size up with the adjustable waists.

I found Uniqlo good. Cut fairly skinny.

Zara used to be good.

Polarnopyret,
Vertbaudet and h and m are good.

Zara and H&M fit my tall and skinny DD (I wish I was still Zara shaped 🤣)

Adjustable waists are where it's at. And some children are slim but HATE tight clothing. Slim fit doesn't mean fits round the waist.

KittenKong · 25/07/2021 19:23

Always! Ds is slim and has tiny waist and hips. Thank goodness for adjustable waists!

scottgirl · 25/07/2021 19:23

Vertbaudet are excellent, very slim, long legs and adjustable waist bands.

RandomMess · 25/07/2021 19:23

Vertbaudet, gap sometimes do slim fit (but perhaps no more), down an age or 2 and extra long length.

tumble&dry
but not sure if they sell to uk.

SirVixofVixHall · 25/07/2021 19:26

How old and how tall are your children OP ? And what sex ?

ISeeTheLight · 25/07/2021 19:28

H&M. Uniqlo is also good.

Littlemissweepy · 25/07/2021 20:20

Great suggestions here thank you. The adjustable waists are always pulled to the tightest button and often still too loose, and my daughter in particular is fussy about the bunching that creates.

I found H&M and Gap were the best for DD. When she's a bit older, Primark and Top Shop both do waist and leg length (like Levis).

I’m coming out the other side of kids clothes for my son now and it’s a real problem with tiny waists and long legs. Plus it’s all so expensive.

@EvilPea - me too! My DS is 14 and is currently in Next skinny jeans, age 16, which are too short for him and too big on the waist! He has the most ridiculously long legs. The jump in price from teen to men's sizes was a shock as well!

It wouldn't be so bad if they would get the wear out of them. But they will grow out of them the blink of an eye, they also aren't designed for the wear and tear of a teen.
