Cocktail help?

I've invited some friends round next weekend after a few too many wines and, apparently, I'm making cocktails. I don't know the first fucking thing about cocktails and I'm relying on you vipers to help me!

Can I have some really simple, tasty ideas for cocktails please - the simpler the better. I already have rum, vodka, prosecco and gin in the house so anything that can use any of these would be good. Thanks!

Get some fruit
Raspberries
Lemon
Lime
Blueberries
They add flavor to the gin
Make sure to sugar the glass rims use water and dip in sugar
Buy a cocktail shakers - most are fruit juice and a slosh of alcohol!

Add some ice to the cocktail shaker

Download a free app called My Bar. You can put your ingredients in and it recommends cocktails. Or you can search by cocktail and see what ingredients you need. It also gives easy instructions.

Gimlets. There is nothing in the world that can't be improved by a gimlet. And once you've had a couple you really don't care about what the next drink tastes like

Strawberry daiquiris are easy and nice in the summer.

Oh some fab suggestions, thank you!

I had a Lady Marnalade yesterday.

Mandarin rum, ginger syrup, lime and lemonade...was gorgeous.

Now admittedly I've yet to track down mandarin rum, but I imagine if you stick some normal rum in a bottle with some pared orange peel you'd get much the same effect, or just add a few drops of orange extract.

Apparently the easiest one is just any kind of sorbet and stick prosecco over it

Make a Floradora - gin, lime juice & ginger beer with loads of ice. With raspberries and slices of lime. Gorgeous.

Painkiller - rum, pineapple and orange juices, coconut cream.
Make your own coconut cream with a can of creamed coconut & sugar.

I add Aldi fake Malibu too (not Lidl, it’s revolting) for extra coconut flavour.

One that I made up on the hoof but which my husband likes - 2 shots vodka, 2 shots strawberry liqueur and a shot of lemon juice (shaken with ice if you've got a shaker). Pour into a tall glass, filled with ice cubes and pour over a can of Rhubarb Cawston's Press.

Ooh yes...sgroppino is great...lemon sorbet, vodka or limoncello and prosecco
