Looking for a nice hotel with an indoor pool for a couple of nights, me, DH and our two teens. Needs to have parking facilities. Would really appreciate recommendations.

Are you wanting to stay right in the city centre, or are you happy to be a short drive out of the centre? Off the top of my head, I can't think of one right in the city that has a pool (not to say there isn't one, of course!), but I know that there are some a little further out.

A little further out would be fine.

In that case, there is the Quy Mill hotel, which is a few miles north east of the city centre, that has a proper spa/health club and pool.

About 8 miles west of Cambridge is the Cambridge Belfry in Cambourne.

I also heard there is a newly opened hotel close to the city centre, The Fellows House, which is part of the Hilton group. That one would be a good location, I reckon the closest you’ll get to the city centre with a pool. I think you have to pay for parking from what I can see it would be about a 15 min walk into the centre.

There is also a Holiday Inn at Impington, which is a few miles north of the city centre. The website tells me that it has a pool.

Disclaimer: I have never stayed at any of these hotels! But I have been to events at the Quy Mill and the Belfry, and both seem very nice.

How about the Varsity hotel right in city centre
www.thevarsityhotel.co.uk/
Does not have pool but has a spa
But you can then walk along the river to Jesus Green Lido - can book lane swimming slots - currently can often book the same day or day before.
Teenagers would be able to walk of hotel and wander round city, within seconds can be lounging on Jesus Green by the river. Very good location

Quay Mill has a nice little pool - a good few miles out of Cambridge - depends on how you feel about driving in and out of Cambridge. Not much the teenagers could do out of the hotel - would rely on you driving them and entertaining them.
I think The Belfry at Cambourne does feel even more far out of city and I think your teens would regret being stuck out there.
Holiday Inn at Impington is closer than both above and on bus route into city but still about two miles or so walk into city along boring road. Not great maybe for teenagers??

Haven’t tried the Fellows hotel - very new, this is currently the closer of the hotels, don’t know what it is like. Boring walk along very busy main road for a few minutes then you can cross over road and be walking along river - can then walk along Jesus green into Cambridge . If pool in hotel crucial and you also want to be very close to Cambridge city centre this is your best bet. If you can do without a hotel pool then go for hotel right in middle of city

If in Cambridge
Is a pool really important?? Instead
Wander round city
Have a go at punting yourselves. Or hire kayaks
Follow the Cow trail

Or Dinky Door trail
