Can you void a sick note???
My Gp gave me a sick note on Monday for two weeks due to stress at work and at home, I’m 7 months pregnant. I did say to my doctor that I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be signed off but she said to take it and use it if I needed it.
I decided to work up until Friday to see how I went but yesterday I called in sick as I was beyond exhausted and felt horrible.
I informed work and sent in my note and let them know and today I was basically told that because I worked after it was issued it has basically voided the note and if I can’t get another one I have to work tomorrow, even though it’s Sunday so they know full well the doctors isn’t open.
I’ve asked so many times if my work can be reduced because it’s stressful and they haven’t done so, which is partly why I was given the note anyway. I was hoping they could reduce my workload by the time the note runs out.
I just feel completely lost and I don’t know what to do about it all. I feel like they’re being very unfair.
I honestly feel like I don’t want to work for them after this at all now.
