Online conveyancing

If you have used online conveyancing, what was your experience and are you happy to suggest who to avoid/recommend. We have accepted offer on house sale and about to offer on purchase but don't have solicitor lined up yet. Thinking of using online as they seem cheaper but is it false economy?

Think I have narrowed it down to Lambert Pugh and Bespoke. If anyone happens to have any experience dealing with these companies I'd appreciate your thoughts. If not I will have to bite the bullet and just get on with it.

My FIL owns his own estate agency and he refers to The Moving Hub. Never had a problem with them, hes had sales complete recently in 8 weeks ive never heard a bad comment.
I think they may even be no sale no fee but im not 100%. If i was moving again I would use them, my highstreet one was absolutely awful i resented every penny i paid them x

Thanks for the recommendation. I've taken a look but they pay vouchers for 5 star reviews so that puts me off a bit I must admit.

I never knew that! No wonder they have such a good raring on google then. X

How did you work out they paid for advertising?

I'm interested as there are so many cos with 4.5 or so out of 5, with wpords like "satisfied every need" "couldn't be more satisfied" "explained everything to me", it seems to be all written by the one algorithm set on random word adjective order

Apparently there is an issue currently with some online companies. There is a group on Facebook called "when conveyancing goes rogue' just check the company hasn't been mentioned there first.
I've just used a local firm to do mine and it has completed in 6.5 weeks (I move Friday).
I sped things up by collecting and dropping forms off to avoid things being delayed in the post.

Don’t. Do. It.
Pay the extra for a local, visitable solicitor.
We used an online one based in Leeds. I couldn’t ever get through to our case manager and ended up driving 3.5 hours to visit in person to replace some lost documents
