Balearics holiday confusion. Please help!

Hello.

I have a holiday to Majorca booked for October this year. I am so confused by the different rules. Is anyone able to simply explain? How many tests do I need to buy etc? And when do we take them? My destination is on the Amber List currently, if that helps.

Not sure there's any point giving much thought to it right now, things could change multiple times between now and then.

You also need to check official or good quality sources. I wouldn't rely on what people write on here because they don't always get it right.

gov.uk foreign office and covid sections, plus Moneysavingexpert have good, clear, easy to understand interpretations for popular holiday destinations and what they publish is almost certainly accurate.

Got home from Ibiza on Monday.

If you are double jabbed you do not need a test to enter Ibiza. If you have not had your jabs you need a negative test within 72 hours.

Before return you need a negative lft. You can purchase these before you go.

If it is amber, and you are jabbed, you will need to take a day 2 PCR and will NOT need to quarantine.

If you are not jabbed and it is amber you will need to take PCR tests on day 2 and 8 and quarantine for 10 days.
