My 13 month old wants to feed himself which i have decided to let him mainly because he fights to do it . But ive noticed he eats smaller amounts when feeding himself . For example for dinner he had about one bite of chicken, one broccli and about 4 pieces of pasta . i gave him 1/2 of the ambroise custard afterwards. This is an example for what he eats for meals . Small portions. He does have 3 meals and 2 snacks and is still breastfed. I am just worried about him loosing weight. He has always been on the 40-50th percentile. Can someone offer advice on whether toddlers loose weight once they start to self feed. Also how can I feel reassured that he has eaten enough even though it doesn't look like much from my perspective. I am so used to seeing babies gulp down jars so i dont have much knowledge in how much is considered too little or enough when eating proper food

I forgot to mention , I would like to stop breastfeeding but he wont drink cows milk so i am too scared to stop breastfeeding incase he doesnt get enough from his meal intakes and right now i am not sure if he is getting enough to feel confident enough to stop breastfeeding
