I don't know whether it's the kind of bump I should get checked out? On hold to 111 but expert they'll say someone will call me back anyway.

She fell from sitting, backwards off the bed and landed on her back on wooden floorboards. Pretty confident she hit her head when she landed. Has calmed down reasonably quickly with a feed but it's bedtime and I'm worried about what to do. Such a shit mum Sad

Hi @jetty21 didn't want to read and run, don't beat yourself up about it, it's happens to us all! My DS fell off the sofa onto a wooden floor at 4 months! I remember the guilt, but he was absolutely fine.

I'm sure your baby will be fine, how are they in themselves now? I think they usually recommend to keep a close on them, and usually a red flag is if they are sick, or unusually drowsy.

It's happens to the best of us op, don't beat yourself up about it.
Advise is if she's well within herself, drinking eating wet nappies, not drowsy and no sickness then keep an eye, you should check on her throughout the night.
She may have a headache!

When my DD was 6m she learnt how to triple roll back to front suddenly and did so off the bed, narrowly avoiding the radiator and wooden bed handles., she was so upset and I was manic with fear. Rang 111 and they advised to just keep an eye for 24 hours or so - maybe a quick call for reassurance if you're worried x

Oh my goodness you are NOT a shit mum. It happens to us all. You can’t prevent any accident. If they didn’t lose consciousness, not vomiting, not drowsy (although they always tend to do these things close to bloody bedtime so then you’re panicking wondering if this is normal drowsiness or not) then they should be ok but if you have any doubts get checked. Don’t beat yourself up about it. Hope you have a settled night xxx
