Kids wellies for thin calves

Hi, I'm struggling to find any wellies for my daughter. All the ones we've tried in the shops are great on her foot (width is a g fitting) but she has such thin calves that she says they hurt when she runs and they flap against her legs.
Has anyone found a make of wellies that do standard foot width but narrow calf width? (Ideally not £££!)

Have you tried the soft kind of wellies? Like warm wellies or joules , admittedly not cheap. Or crocs do wellies from their lightweight plastic?

Also just wondering if rubber riding boots might work. There are lots of cheap rubber riding boots in kids sizes second hand on eBay (and elsewhere) or you can get them at decathlon for not much more than normal wellies

Rubber riding boots

That's a great idea, thank you! It hadn't occurred to me to look at riding boots, fingers crossed 🤞🏻
