Mcgyer style solution needed to improvise bed fitting!

I have a problem. I've just moved house and it looks like one of the fittings for my old king size John Lewis metal bed which needs to go in the spare room (moving in with DP so we already have a bed) has been "misplaced" (lost). DP's mum coming to stay on Tuesday. I might try calling John Lewis to see if I can get a spare but not hopeful as I don't even know what the part is called.

I am hoping that the collective mumsnet consciousness might be able to suggest a DIY solution easily achievable within the next couple of days, for instance something I could get from screwfix or a hardware shop?

This is the fitting we've lost, I guess it's a metal bracket? Knowing what it's called would be a good start!

Any help very much appreciated!
