Fancy someone at work

I won’t act on it as I don’t date colleagues, but annoyingly I find one of mine super attractive. He’s exactly my type!

Has anyone got advice on how to navigate this? We work closely together on a project so I don’t want to make things awkward at work. Obviously I won’t let on that I think he’s attractive, but the easiest thing to do, which is to distance myself, isn’t possible

You’re adult and you need to compartmentalise. You remain as competent work colleagues and as an aside you’re attracted to him. You absolutely do not need to distance yourself that’s a bit unnecessary. Sure you fancy him,but it doesn’t need to leak into professional work life. I think you’re kind of over thinking this, it’s not that hard

What’s wrong with fancying a colleague if you’re both single? Work is how a lot of people meet their other halves.

I met my DH at work. We both were quite cautious and took it very slowly, just getting to know each other as friends first so if it didn’t work out it wouldn’t be too awkward at work.

You haven’t said if either of you are single. It makes a difference.

If both single & unattached it’s fair enough. However op is saying it can’t happen
