Day 5 of isolation because of a positive test in the house, I have a 2.5yr old and a 1yr old and my god it's hard work.

The 1 year old could escape a straight jacket is 3 seconds flat, eats everything and anything he can find. Turn my back for 5 seconds and he's sat on the TV stand..

The 2 year old is going through a phase of asking, is that funny mummy. No, it's not funny watching you stand on one leg for the 700th time, nor is it funny that you can hang upside down off the sofa. But of course I tell him he's hilarious while wondering if it's too early for Wine!

What are your kids doing today that make you want to re-home them?

Isolation without the kids sounds like an absolute dream, find myself day dreaming about it. Id definitely be well up for that!

Mine just won't give me a moments peace.

Trying to WFH, having to work in the kitchen rather then the office to keep an eye on DD. Constantly being bothered for food requests and god knows what else.... oh and we have a puppy so constantly telling her to leave her poor thing alone 🙄
I just want to sit in a room and have no one speak to me for at least and hour!!!
DH gets to sit in the peace and quiet of the office, very rarely getting bothered and very rarely shows his face ....grrrrrrrr

Ds 6 has been asleep for an hour. The ndn have their dc in the house and my bath is amazingly appreciated..
Until dd 15 arrives home and I chew her ear off for not hanging the washing out peace reigns here...

Dd3 is still awake an hour past her usual bedtime so thats her crime. Dd2 is jumping on the bed shouting I'M ZOG I'M ZOG and flapping her arms. Dd1 is listening to some shite music upstairs and singing along in a warbling manner. Im lying in a sweaty heap dreaming of drinking wine in the bath alone

Putting the dog in the pool. He hates it but when he jumps out he runs straight into the house shaking his wet fur all the way through. Im murderous.

My almost 3 year old has had a huge tantrum that lasted well over a hour because she wanted a ice cream pot from ice cream van, I had a 99p cone, she screamed her head off that she wanted a cone and wanted to swap so we swapped then she started again because I had her pot and ate it!! Second tantrum of the day was because she wanted ice in her water then screamed it was cold, she cried because the trampoline was too jumpy, the paddling pool was too wet, the park was too busy she is suspected of having ASD but even so what a day.

Oh Zog! that was on repeat the other day, has to be the first one though.. second one causes complete and utter meltdowns for some reason.

The paddling pool, I was SO excited to get that out I had visions of us all splashing around having so much fun. But oh was I wrong. Grass in the paddling pool is the worst crime.. screaming, shouting rolling around the floor hysterical. Fuelled by the 1 yr olds obsession with pulling the grass and throwing in in the pool. Paddling pool has been packed away until the mental scars heal, maybe it'll work next summer!

And the snack thing, it's relentless. Constantly wanting snacks, but not the snack they ask for, they only want that until they get it and then they want something different!!
