Waiting after a job interview

I had a job interview exactly a month ago and still haven’t heard either way. My DH says that that is the norm in some industries. Not through an agency so no delay for that reason. Anyone had a wait that long? It’s a change of industry for me and I’m currently in one where you almost always hear the same day.

It would be perfectly reasonable to email them to say how much you enjoyed talking with them and would love to hear back from them soon!

It’s an organisation that always lets candidates know either way so I know I will get a yay or nay. Hopefully sometime soon.
