Anybody else just need 50K!?

God i know this is going to sound ridiculous but wouldn't it just be nice to get/win 50K. I live in a small 2 up 2 down house with my partner and boy. We both work 40 hours a week and barely scrape by some months. We cant save for a Mortgage as we barely have enough to cover us each month but we desperately need a bigger house and space :( I play the lotto, enter endless competitions and NOTHING!!
A girl can dream hey! I keep having these weird dreams that i'm going to win someday but i dont know if i'm just being stupid and living in hope haha... I just want my family to live without worrying about money all the time, is that so hard to ask.??
I mean all those celebrities sat on millions and billions- if any of you see this, feel free to donate ;) hahah
Im sure alot of people can relate to this, please tell me im not the only one Blush

I feel like this. I work full time, but earn very little. All i need is a little boost to get going. 😂 25k will do me.

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 22/07/2021 20:53

Yep that would be perfect.

Carrott21 · 22/07/2021 20:55

Yep. I could do everything I need to be settled and have everything nice.

DoctorSnortles · 22/07/2021 20:56

Yes. Winning millions would upskittle me and make me anxious (although I’m sure I’d find a way to cope, once I’d covered myself in cashmere and diamonds). 50k would be a great sum. Could buy a new (well, newish) car and get the work done on the house that needs doing, plus have a bit left over

Valhalla17 · 22/07/2021 20:56

100% OP....dont need much and I'm a good person!

anon1411 · 22/07/2021 21:00

It just makes you so sad doesn't it, work so hard and have little left to show for yourself.. a boost is definitely all i need. I'll keep my fingers crossed!!

50k

rosalindwi · 22/07/2021 22:28

I often fantastise about what amount I would need to change my life. For me it's probably about 1 million. On that I could justify quitting my job and getting something easier/part time.

dotdotdotdash · 22/07/2021 22:33

Yes! £50k would enable me to find a flat with enough floor space in our desired area. It would make a big difference to us. Wishing you a windfall OP!

Kpo58 · 22/07/2021 23:08

50k would let me convert the attic so that my DC can have their own bedrooms.

I did win £3 on the euromillons for the first time in months, so a tiny step closer to the 50k...

BackforGood · 22/07/2021 23:09

I've said this since the lottery first started.

It would be much better to have a realistic chance of winning £50,000 or £100,000 or £200,000 than very little chance of winning ridiculous amounts that most people wouldn't really know what to do with.

£50K would make such a wonderful difference to most people.

Dyrne · 22/07/2021 23:18

Same OP. When people talk about winning millions, I always say my “life changing” amount is about £40K. That would enable me to retrain into my dream career without worrying about my share of the mortgage/bills while I’m studying. (Though obviously, for the benefit of any generous billionaires reading this, I definitely wouldn’t say no to a spare million or three Grin )

I have stopped playing the lottery though, as I don’t like how much money gets wasted on it - by the time you play lotto and euromillions that’s £8/week just on the basic draws!

Instead I have some premium bonds, as it’s effectively a load of free lottery tickets every month; plus I play a couple of charity “lotteries” with smaller winnings, but at least I feel warm and fuzzy for my donation and don’t spend nearly as much!

Babababababybelll · 23/07/2021 08:56

Ohhhh yes.

I dream about that a lot.

Especially weeks like this !!

£30 left , when is pay day? X

Yes. This would be brilliant.

I'd be more inclined to do the lottery if it was spread out a bit more like this!

YelloYelloYello · 23/07/2021 09:43

Yes! 10k here please.

We’re saving at the moment and I popped into a savings calculator how long it will take to reach that goal... it’s 4.16 years!! I could have cried.

User018475022 · 24/07/2021 21:39

£50,000 would pay off the mortgage and buy me a bottle of champagne when we went into town to pay the mortgage off yes please!

Midnightstar76 · 24/07/2021 21:47

Oh OP it would so help. I often have daydreams of winning a fortune. Any amount would do even 10k - Got to be in it to win it I say, one day maybe, you just never know folks do win but oh my it would so help.

stealingbeauty · 24/07/2021 21:53

I’d love 50k. My car is on its last legs and I’d love a new electric car. I’d also be able to retrain.

WhiskeyNeverStartsToTasteNice · 24/07/2021 21:57

Absolutely perfect amount - enough to extend kitchen, do various other desperately needed repairs, redecorations & replacements of stuff in the house, with enough left to splurge on an amazing foreign holiday, which we've not had for years.
