How to heal a cut on my gum

Three weeks ago I had a filing and the same tooth was built up becuae some of it had broken off.
It was one of the upper back teeth and as I have TMJ disorder it was quite difficult for the dentist to work in that confined area so she placed one of those metal dental clamp things over my tooth in order to build it up. When she had finished she struggled to lift the dam thing off as she had pressed it quite firmly down.
When the anaesthesia had worn off it was apparent that she had cut quite deeply into my gum, in between the two teeth.
It hurts a lot when I eat and settles when I’m not eating but the pain is quite nasty.
I’ve swished with salt water for a week or two but it’s not healing.
I’ve contacted the dentist and they said they would need to see me but the nest available appointment isn’t until 16th August!
Any tips on how I can get this healed up. It’s a tad eye watering when I eat.

Bit left field but try rubbing coconut oil.

Anbesol - liquid available at the chemist. Tastes foul but is antibac and anesthetic.

I had quite major oral surgery a few years ago. They recommended using Corsodyl mouthwash 3 times day.

Swill some salt water in your mouth every few hours. It will heal most definitely. This is my go-to for anything like this.

Poor you, hope you feel better soon.

I came here to say Corsodyl too! Grin

Also came to say corsodyl. You can buy the generic brand for really cheap, it's called chlorahexidine.
I'm using it right now after dental surgery I had a week ago.

Corsodyl mouth wash. It tastes disgusting but it really works. But do not swallow any of it if you are on antibiotics

Thanks all. I’ll get some corsodyl tomorrow.
