Migraines and bladder

When I am getting a migraine or coming out of an attack- as I am now- I get a very sensitive bladder.... Almost to the point of it feeling like a UTI, but unlike with a UTI when I go there’s gallons of it, every time, even if it’s only been minutes since the last time I went. I know bladder weirdness is a recognised migraine thing, but does anyone know why? It feels very counter intuitive of my body.... headaches are exacerbated by dehydration, but my body is doing everything it can to excrete every last drop of fluid. I feel like a sizzled bit of bacon; not only do I have a terrible headache but I’m a dry crisp now.

If anyone can find the answer it’ll be you lot. I tried Google but whilst it said it’s common it can’t explain why.

This happens to me too!

No advice but it's very annoying.

Same here. I googled it last week when I had a migraine because my friend said it was weird.
All I could find was that it was "common". It's like my body is trying to pee the migraine out Hmm

I have awful stomach problems with migraine - I stop feeling remotely hungry for about 24 hours before it hits - my neurologist said that when you get a migraine your stomach stops working and this is why you don't feel hungry and stuff - he probs worded it better than that - but that's the bit that sunk in!

Migraine make me puke every 20 minutes or so for about 36 hours - fucking awful - there's nothing in there so starts wtih foam and ends up with yellow bile - revolting.

Hate migraines - wouldn't wish them on anyone!

I’m glad it’s not just me and the weirdos on WebMD that Google threw up who have this! And indeed it IS miserable @alittlequinnie.... people who don’t have them are so lucky. @CiaoForNiao “trying to pee the migraine out” is precisely what it feels like. Utterly weird.
