Light touch group - Universal Credit.

Hello, my youngest turned 3 last month and my eldest is 6 years old. My case manager phoned me this morning and said we have been put into the light touch group for now as my partners wages are enough to be put in this group. He gets paid weekly of £306 a week. The lady I spoke to said she looked at the recent assessment period which would was a 5 week pay assessment.
Some months are 4 week pqy assessments and some are 5 week pay assessments as my partner gets paid weekly. She said next month it might change as it will be a 4 week pay assessment. I asked her if there was a certain amount my partner has to earn before I have to look for work. She said she doesn't know and that if things change she will leave me a message in my journal to have a chat about me going back to work. I do want to go back to work next year September when my youngest starts school. Does anyone know if we will still be in the light touch group next month? Thanks.

Once your youngest is at school you will be expected to look for work for at least the school hours, or sufficient to take you off universal credit if lower. Light touch just means they will give you support to write your cv, look at career options and training courses but not actively look for work until your youngest is at primary school

I've never heard of the light touch group before for UC! I thought it was incumbent on your income and how that's assessed monthly. I would seek further clarification from your work coach.
