I've been instructed to present myself for a covid test on Saturday, even though I've been vaccinated.
I'd never heard of them before this text. When I Googled them, you apparently have to be registered.
Anyone else know of this?

Who has texted you and why would you be doing it because some random text told you to?

I work at a Dr's surgery & swift queue organise the local hospital's blood tests.

It is a valid thing & not impossible it's also used to book Covid vaccines in some areas.

Do you have the NHS app? If so are both vaccines showing?

CoffeeRunner · 21/07/2021 20:44

Oh sorry. I see it's a Covid test not vaccine.

It's still possible - maybe call the hospital they want you to attend to check?

Swiftqueue are legit, I booked my test through them (NHS staff).

It may be that your local trust are trying to mop up any people who might have been missed. My local hospital sent similar texts to anyone who had presented at A&E in the previous 2 years.

Orpheline · 21/07/2021 21:30

I don't want, or need, a test. I will ignore.

Just to update. I've had a call from the hospital to inform me that the covid test is required before surgery on Tuesday. This is surgery that I had no idea that I needed, as I'm still waiting for test results.

Who was supposed to tell you about the surgery?
What a horrible way to find out you need it

I had tests in May, and have still not had any results. Suppose I'll find out tomorrow, when I see the consultant pre-op. Just found out about this appointment today. I can't trust them.
