How do you feel about Dominic Cummings telling you you must have a screw lose?

I’m interested in the answer. This whole Dominic Cummings stuff is insane and I wonder what Brexiteers think of him.

I saw nothing wrong with his statement. It was factual.

Short of hopping into a time machine and taking a look, we can't know for certain whether Brexit will be good or bad. There are so many factors influencing that assessment. For instance, some people might have changed their vote if they knew we had a pandemic on the way. We might also ask - good or bad for whom? Some will benefit, others won't, just as with being part of the EU.

Everyone, Leave or Remain, made the best decision they could with the information they had available. The outcome? That's for historians of the future to assess.

The outcome is happening right now, and it's following the Remain predictions fairly closely.

Freedom of movement gone, massive cost increases for exporters and importers, staff shortages, food shortages, the NI problem, etc.

Cummings confirmed what was already known: that the Leave campaign lied. He hasn't yet confirmed that the whole thing was manufactured by tax evaders. There has always been anti-EU sentiment, much of it respectable and well argued. It was only when the tax and money laundering directives came out that the campaign started. The rational leavers were replaced by charismatic racists, Russian traitors, and accelerationist crazies. The currency traders made a fortune crashing sterling (one spent 32million on Leave advertising, and made 800).

Well, we're all adults, and we have to live our choices. Unfortunately, we also got the full house of the most corrupt and incompetent government in modern history, the pandemic, the open looting of public money and a spineless press.

There were a lot of independent economic reports that stated in detail (right down to local economic impacts) how ruinous Brexit would be. I know because I read them at the time (I don't use social media, never have, never will). Sadly the facts were there but most people choose social media, newspapers with their own interests, lies of politicians, etc, over cold hard financial and economic data. Where I live is one of the worst hit yet it's a Brexit voting area. Oh well.

Here we go again. I thought this might be a Brexit thread from a different angle but no, same boring goady stuff. I shouldn't have clicked on it, back to watching paint dry.

hate to break it to you ......

Well it seemed obvious that the likes of Gove, Johnson, Cummings and Rees Mogg held the voters who they manipulated into damaging the country in complete disdain.

But even with Cummings saying outright what lunacy it is they’ll argue that the emperor is clothed until the end of days because nobody likes to admit to being fooled.
