Who issues the voucher for lunches over the summer ?

For a child about to leave year 6?

Is it the primary they are leaving. Or the new school they will be starting?
I can’t seem to find out

Might it be on your local education authority website somewhere?

DS1 has just finished year 11 and as yet we don't know where he is going in Sept. We got his vouchers from his secondary school. AFAIK they are a student there until the end of August.

So it should be the school they are leaving.

I’ll try and have a look! Couldn’t get an answer from the school the office person I spoke to said not sure they’d call back but they didn’t 🤦‍♀️

Are you sure there are vouchers this summer? Round here they have funded holiday clubs and activities with lunch included. I dont think there will be a voucher issued in this LEA.

Not all schools are able to issue vouchers. The government offering is a play scheme for part of the holidays, no vouchers, and anything beyond that is up to the council, and if they don't step in, the individual school.

I hope you get some better news from the council. If you do need any help over the holidays, food banks will offer support without judgment.

Yes as i have more than 1 dc at school in the same borough and they’ve all had their vouchers but my year 6 leaver hasn’t so I was wondering

Current school, not future, would supply them as responsibility doesn't transfer until next term.

Thanks I wasn’t sure I need to transfer over the fsm entitlement too I’ll have to check about that unless it’s automatic

Our LA do vouchers and there is a holiday club scheme too I think
