Anybody else struggling with the heatwave

I don't usually tolerate the heat well. I know it's lovely to see and it's great to get a nice dry spell. I'm struggling badly. I do my best not to spend time in the sun but there are times when I need to go out in it like from going from A to B. I try my best to plan around the sun and the heat. I usually seek shade too.

I'm not feeling well. I think the sun makes me sick. I'm trying my best to keep hydrated.

This heatwave has coincidenced with a shit shint in work too. I'm not doing very well in work and I am not liking my job. There's too much of a load. I work as a live out nanny but for the next 2 weeks I am living with the family. I feel physically sick with the load that was put on my back. Childminding duties, pet duties, cleaning duties, laundry duties - that is generally my day to day stuff. That's not the issue though. The parents gave me much much much more than usual. They are away for the week and they also scheduled work on their house while they are away but I am left at home looking after everything and they gave me extra duties of cleaning rooms whenever I get free time during the days. They are nearly afraid that I might take a break in the middle of the day for myself. I'm up early with the children and then when they go to bed at night, it's not an automatic cut off point at that stages. There's other duties to carry out like the clearing of work tops, the preparing of packed lunches, dishwasher, etc. There's also a child with special needs so I can't get the child to help me with these tasks. Basically it's a long work day and there's very little light at the end of the tunnel for me. The day is just too long and certainly didn't need eatra work to do. I really don't think I will be getting paid properly according to employment laws regarding hours worked, overtime and time and a half. I'm burnt out.

Sounds like they need you more than you realise.

I'd give them the most likely options are reduced hours in the heat or ending up on sick leave.

It's bound to break soon.
