Virgin Pure water system. Any alternatives?

I like the idea of these, I hate tap water and I'd like to stop buying bottled.

The new filter every 6 months at 50 quid and the yearly 100 quid bulb are putting me off

Any cheaper alternative systems?

@Ostryga

A Brita filter jug?
There's 7 of us in the house we couldn't full the jug up fast enough! Plus I can still taste the tap wateryness

Can’t the rest of them just drink tap water?

I'm sure many people like tap water but we don't. We buy bottled and would rather have something like this to save all the plastic waste. Our plastic bin is always heaving with bottles.

Have you tried Pentair? They do a lot of commercial systems, but I know that they have domestic models for drinking water too.

Virgin Pure have shocking customer service. I just returned my unit as they sent it to me and then couldn't commit to an installation date .

Bibo looks excellent. British company and similar system and have good reviews.
