Big sign saying no phones on the phone court yes I know i used mine but if you require assistance, it says use the app, or call that number.

But how can you do that, if you can’t use your phone? Confused

How does this make sense?

I suppose you'd get back in your car and make the call.

I think the sign is a reminder that it's safer to be focussed on putting fuel in and the vehicles moving around you rather than distracted by chatting on the phone, not that it's inherently dangerous to use a phone on a forecourt.

You call from your car.

I was once told that the reason you shouldn't use your mobile phone on the petroleum station forecourt is that there is a very slim chance it can cause a spark which could start a fire.

Better not start the engine on your car either then.
