If you use period pants...

...do you pretend to be Lady Macbeth when you rinse them? Because I just noticed that I often do, and wondered if there were a bunch of us cheerfully incorporating gruesome murder roleplay into doing the laundry.

No.....but I will now.

supernooodle · 21/07/2021 07:40

I've just bought some... haven't used them yet.. actually but worried about their first use to be honest! How do you find them?

Comedycook · 21/07/2021 07:40

No but my DC had a nosebleed the other day all over the bathroom...I felt like I was cleaning up a crime scene in a low budget TV show

No, but don't bother with rinsing. They're fine (1.5 years on). I've also been known to tumble dry them in an emergency!

motherofawhirlwind · 21/07/2021 07:43

And I should say that's 1.5 years of daily wear. DD likes them some much she refuses to wear anything else.

DaisyWaldron · 21/07/2021 07:44

@supernooodle, I love them, and wouldn't go back to using anything else given the choice. They take a long time to dry, and the laundry is a pain, but they are both comfortable and effective in a way that I haven't found in any other form of sanpro. I have a copper coil and am perimenopausal and my Modibodi knickers are the only things that let me have a full night's sleep and wake up to clean sheets.

No, but I do find it quite mesmerising watching the water go from red to clear!

I love them also, life changing for a night. Don't have to get up to change tampon or pad. So comfy too.
Handy for those days where you think you may come on or at the end where's there not enough flow to warrant sanitary ware.

nameychange · 21/07/2021 07:50

We’ve found they dry best using one of these. Each arm holds a pair And you can get 8 pairs on them.

I bang mine in tumble and been using for a couple years now, no issues with them at all

I use the ones from cheeky wipes

gogohm · 21/07/2021 07:56

I just throw into the machine Confused but I'm really light because of the mirena, however I do use for sports even on non period days due to age and weak bladder

Glenthebattleostrich · 21/07/2021 08:05

mine just get chucked in the machine. i use cheeky wipes and have just bought some wuka ones too.

im very heavy, perimenopausal and can comfortably wear a pair for 8 hours (previously changing a super plus tampon hourly!)

Guineapigbridge · 21/07/2021 08:30

I will now. Out damned spot!

Marmaladee · 21/07/2021 08:55

I do them on a rinse in the machine before they're washed. I'm missing out on the murder fantasy it seems!
