Just curious really. Do you have any life goals or bucket list of things you want to do?

Yes, I want to live in a house in the middle of a forest with no one else around. I actually dream about canning and dh collecting chicken eggs ect.

My bucket list is mainly places I want to travel to.

peaceanddove · 20/07/2021 21:12

Yep, and I'm actually doing one this weekend - having a tour of the Bodleian Library. Cannot wait!

Otherwise:
Live in Paris for 3 months, in a sweet little AirBnB in Montmartre and just breathe it all in.

Learn to keep bees and have a bee hive in the garden.

Rent a vintage Cadillac and drive Route 66.

Do another degree but in Egyptology this time.

Visit Petra
Visit Angkor Watt
Live on a houseboat/barge for a year
Run a floristry business

pinkfanman · 20/07/2021 21:39

No. - think it's a bit weird tbh - every year brings new challenges and opportunities, we grab opportunities as they present themselves - things often don't live up to the hype.

I’d like to learn Latin; would love to read The Aeneid and Metamorphoses in the original.

Starface · 20/07/2021 21:46

Get fit.
Write a book (by which I mean a novel).
Create passive income.
Have enough money to support my children in the ways I want to.

I have some other possibles, but those are the main ones. I also keep running lists of holidays I'd like to go on and days out I'd like to go on. But I recognise the time isn't right for these things now. I have plans to have enough money to be able to do these things when the time is right though.

I am very fortunate to have achieved many of my life goals already. And to be satisfied with less than many I think.

Love the house boat idea.

OrangeBananaFish · 20/07/2021 21:59

My only real bucket list is to fly first class.

GetTaeFuck · 20/07/2021 22:04

Finish my fucking degree. I’m taking a year off due to DDs health and next year when I go back, it’ll be part time. So 5 years total. 6 including my college course.

SantiagoSky · 20/07/2021 22:12

Retire early and travel across Europe on my cargo e-bike.

deplorabelle · 20/07/2021 22:26

Swim from a boat in the sea, travel the trans Siberian railway and come back via Samarkand, do glass blowing and/or stained glass, visit all the inhabited Scottish islands.

fluffythedragonslayer · 21/07/2021 02:50

My goals are

Do a masters
Be debt free (not inc mortgage)
Run a marathon
Be happy with my body (running a marathon might help that!)

Waxonwaxoff0 · 21/07/2021 07:36

Mine is just a list of places and countries I want to travel to. Was supposed to do one this year but Covid has scuppered it all. I'm just praying that travel will eventually get back to normal.

peaceanddove · 21/07/2021 10:28

I'm stealing the houseboat idea x

BearSoFair · 21/07/2021 10:37

Become fluent in Danish. Started learning in the first lockdown and have managed to stick at it pretty much every day so far!
See the Northern Lights
Go on a sleeper train
Go to an NHL ice hockey game

Houseboat was on my list but after a long weekend on one (admittedly with extended family so much more cramped than it would be with just me and DH) several years ago where I was just about ready to push someone into the river by the end of it I'm not sure it'd be such a good idea Grin

hellcatspangle · 21/07/2021 13:27

Live by the sea in a house full of character with a golden retriever
Travel round Europe in a camper van
Be really fit (been going to the gym for 20 years and haven't achieved it yet so unlikely)
