Has anyone flown out of Heathrow recently and can advise on delays etc?

Hi there... we are supposed to be flying out of Heathrow in a few days and I'm wondering whether I need to allow more than 2 hours in order to get through security / Covid protocol etc.... has anyone does this recently? Our flight is fairly early, and I am happy to allow extra time, but any advice would be gratefully received!

We flew about 9 days ago from T5 and it was reasonably busy, but not badly so. Think we had just over 2h but also had a 4yo and we were fine, popped into a few shops but just grabbed takeaway food to eat at gate.

I flew out of T5 two days ago on an 8am-ish flight. Got there at 5.40 with all printed out - everything was checked at the check-in desk, which took a lot longer than e-check-in would have done but there was no queue at that time, so I wasn't delayed at all. Security scan wasn't any longer than usual. So we had plenty of time.
I think if you were going much later, there would be queues. Check-in admin is taking approx 3 times as long as it used to. Plan accordingly!

Which airline did you fly with? I don't know if it's different for different airlines but we flew BA, pre uploaded all our certificates etc the day before and it was pre approved overnight so check in was quite quick.

Thanks so much both of you. We are also flying BA and have been given the option to upload everything ahead of our flight, so hopefully we should be ok with a clear 2 hours. It is an 8am flight too, so as long as we have time to get takeaway coffee and breakfast, that's fine with me....
