I mean, logically, of course they do. They are still animals. But it seriously never occurred to me that they did.

Now this is an unusually large poo bit it’s interesting to watch

And they are very messy eaters.

I never thought I would find a spider cute. What kind is it?

Soubriquet · 18/07/2021 20:45

It’s a jumping spider

I knew this because I once came across one so big it appeared to be trying on my trousers. After I surprised it (not as much as it surprised me), it did a massive poo and ran away. I'm not afraid of spiders, but I thought that was a bit much.

I figured they must poo as I'm always cleaning up tiny brown splodges on windowsills when it's spider season. At first I didn't put the two together but it must be their poo.

TheLovelinessOfDemons · 19/07/2021 05:35

I love spiders, but I'd be a bit indignant if one pooed on me.

Soubriquet · 19/07/2021 06:17

It’s strange isn’t it. You never really think about bugs pooping but obviously they do.

Apparently spiders like pooing on humans. Well pet ones do anyway.

Im planning on getting a jumping spider so I’ll experience first hand of this

I keep tarantulas and one genus likes to use poop as a defence mechanism…they will shoot it at you with alarming speed and accuracy!

TooBigForMyBoots · 20/07/2021 13:38

I used to have a covered deck and had to clean the spider poo off the table and chairs every day.

Well…if the whacking great spider didn’t keep me away, the poop would
