Does this sound like a good idea?

DS’ best friend passed away a few months ago due to an illness but it was very sudden. He was very popular and DS said everyone in his year talks about him all the time.

This week is the last day of term and DS has told people in his year to wear something blue if they wanted to honour his friend as it was his favourite colour. DS has said he wants to do something else, and he's came up with the idea of them having a football match (as his friend loved football) and raising money for a charity. He was to ask his parents first but he doesn't know if they'll think its a good idea.

MN, does this sound like a good idea to you?

That sounds like a lovely idea. Though definitely ask his parents if they are okay with it.

I would wonder what charity it was for - is it either related to the illness he passed away from? Or something that meant a lot to him?

I also don't think it has to be an either/or thing about the wearing blue on the last day

It sounds like you have a thoughtful son.

Ask first.

It does sound like a lovely idea but I agree to check with the parents first!

Yes, but speak to the parents first!
