Best/worst American Fridge Freezer?

We've got one of those and the freezer is pretty small, the ice maker takes up space plus it mainly has shelves not baskets so you can't get that much in without playing Tetris. If you have the space get a separate full size fridge and freezer.

I have a samsung also. I love it. The closest I can find on the UK site is this one

Meant to say, the deli drawer can be converted to a veggie drawer when needed with just the push of a button, it also has a chilled option on the same drawer. Wicked handy.

We’ve had this for 2 years and I can’t fault it (it has excellent reviews everywhere), however keep any eye on the price as it seems to fluctuate a lot! It’s currently £629 but a month later will be £450 and then weeks later another random price!

This is an interesting thread. Lots of people on here are recommending Samsung but they have an awful reputation in an American based renovation forum I'm on. Would it be a different build specification in the UK?

We have a Samsung one which I got free on Freecycle! I would agree the freezer space is hopeless but otherwise it is good.

Don’t get one with the freezer on one side and the fridge on the other
To see into the bottom shelves you have to kneel on the floor
Fridge on top with double doors and freezer drawers underneath is much better

We’ve had a Fisher & Paykel for nearly 10 years & I can’t fault it. Excellent design, better than the traditional American FF.

We had a Maytag 1st which was a thing of beauty. Replaced with a Samsung and I can't emphasise enough how crap it is.

It takes great offense at being loaded, so bad that I have to unplug it. The drawers are so brittle that all broke within 2 years and have been replaced at least once.... and aren't cheap spares. The fridge filter lasts about 8 weeks before telling you it needs replacing. Again, not cheap.

Wouldn't touch another with a 10 foot barge pole.

Yes I had heard so many negatives from Samsung that they're on my avoid list.
